Over 55 Yes or No?
While there are many positives about living in an over-55 neighborhood, there are some issues that are not frequently mentioned by it's proponents.  The abundance of over-55 purchasers is a result of a large demographic cohort.  But what will happen as years go by and the number of eligible buyers in that age group decreases? One can imagine a someday when there is more supply of these homes than demand, which will likely push prices down.  Any time housing is restricted from the general population, its value is affected by fluctuations in demand based upon the number of eligible purchasers.

Another issue that sometimes arises is the amount and type of fees paid in this type of neighborhood.  While the convenience and service of grass cutting and other chores being handled by the association is nice, given the size of most of the properties one could hire a contractor to do the work for much less.

Now priced at just $550,000 this home is a tremendous value.  Unlike most garage townhomes, the garage of this home is outside the footprint of the home.  That means it does not take up space inside the home.  If you compare this home with any other 2-car garage townhome on the market, you will see the tremendous difference this makes.

Another significant difference with his model is the main level entry.  Very few townhomes afford the opportunity of main-level entry.  Do you really want to walk up or down the steps, inside or out, every time you want to leave, or every time you come home with the groceries?  I don't think so!
